Outlaw Run
Outlaw Run, Silver Dollar City’s newest roller coaster that broke worldwide records, is one of the most popular Branson thrill rides around. This wooden roller coaster was a $10 million investment for Silver Dollar City – and the thrill is worth it! This wooden coaster features over half a mile of track, and has the steepest drop of any wooden roller coaster ever – a nearly vertical 162 feet at 81 degrees plummet. Outlaw Run is also the first wooden roller coaster ever to go upside down, and it is the second fastest wooden coaster in the world. Hold onto your hats!
The Vigilante Extreme ZipRider
If you like heights and bird-like flying, then the Vigilante Extreme ZipRider at Shepherd of the Hills is the Branson thrill ride for you! And it is a thrill for all ages – this zipline ride requires no orientation or knowledge of special equipment – riders are simply strapped in to an upright seat and away they go! This ride with a view takes off from the top of the Inspiration Tower at Shepherd of the Hills. It is 170 feet high, and the ride is a full half mile long. Riders will hit speeds of up to 50 miles per hour! What a rush!
KaPau Plummet
Do you like water AND thrill rides? Then you will want to be among the first to ride the newest slide at White Water – the KaPau Plummet! This watery Branson thrill ride is sure to leave you breathless and screaming. This side by side enclosed water slide will launch riders from a drop floor into a 70 degree plummet. Riders will then free fall at 26 feet per second until they splash down at the bottom of the ride! The KaPau Plummet is a new ride for 2014 – and you won’t want to miss it!
Powder Keg
Another Silver Dollar City thriller, Powder Keg will literally take your breath away as the ride blasts you from zero to 53 miles per hour in a mere 2.8 seconds! A 110 foot drop, G forces and floater hills all await riders as they speed through the wilderness at 64 miles per hour. This Branson thrill ride is a salute to the miners who worked in Marvel Cave – the original Branson attraction. That is why the beginning of the ride is stimulated to make riders think that a powerful blast of dynamite is responsible for the initial blast of speed!
The Sky Surfer
Get ready for the ultimate adrenaline rush – surfing in the air! The Sky Surfer, across from the Toy Museum on The Strip, is fast becoming one of Branson’s most popular attractions, and the only one like it in the world. This high flying ride is fifty feet off the ground, and you can reach speeds of up to 30 miles per hour on this flying surf board!
