The Branson Landing, set on the shores of Lake Taneycomo, has fast become a multimillion dollar icon for one of the Midwest’s most popular vacation hotspots. With its seemingly endless plethora of stores, dozens of restaurants, eateries and sweet shops, and family friendly entertainment, the Branson Landing is certainly the place to be for both locals and Branson visitors alike! Most folks tend to think of shopping when they picture the Branson Landing – but there is a lot more to this lakeside development than just stores!
Rides and Fun: For a real thrill, check out Parakeet Pete’s Zipline that sends riders sailing across Lake Taneycomo – you’ll get an amazing ride, and an amazing view! For little visitors, The Landing offers rides on the Branson Landing Train, and a playground geared towards safe fun for young visitors. And for a truly unforgettable experience, The Landing is offering hot air balloon rides! You heard right; Parakeet Pete’s Waterfront Balloon sends riders floating up above the Branson Landing for an unforgettable look at both the lake and the town.
Farmers Market: The Branson Landing Market, powered by Farmers Market of the Ozarks (FMO) based in Springfield, Missouri, is located at the farthest southern end of the Branson Landing parking lot, located on Branson Landing Boulevard. The Branson Landing Farmers Market is held on Tuesdays from 3pm to 7pm, April through October. The Branson Landing Farmers Market features local meat and vegetable producers, bakers, artisans, and more. FMO’s mission has always been to “operate a vibrant farmers market that contributes to the success of local food growers and producers, strengthens the local food economy and serves as a community gathering place for the Ozarks region.” And what better place to create a community gathering place than at the Branson Landing!
Live Entertainment: Of course, the Landing wouldn’t be complete without some of Branson’s signature live entertainment! The Landing features many live, local entertainers, bands and singer/songwriters for your entertainment pleasure. Branson Landing also features a one of a kind, $7.5 million water fountain show, featuring fire, fountain geysers and sound, all synchronized to music! This spectacular show, set against the backdrop of the lake, is performed several times daily, and is a must see for Landing goers!
North Beach Park: Branson Landing also sports a nearby park for your recreation needs! North Beach Park offers visitors tables and benches, plus barbeque grills if you’d like to cook something up for your afternoon by the lake. And for recreation and fun, enjoy trying your hand at horseshoes in the horseshoe pits or bring your fishing pole – North Beach Park has two of their very own fishing docks! The paved walking path through the park connects to the Landing boardwalk – so you can easily walk to the park for some exercise and fresh air, and return for the fountain show or a great meal at one of the many restaurants.
Branson Landing is one of those places you’ll want to return to again and again – there is always something fun and exciting going on down by the lake!
