Busiek State Forest. Having the most beautiful forests is one thing that Branson is proud of. The Busiek State Forest and Wildlife Area is located directly off of Highway 76 in the Mark Twain National Forest. This forest perfectly showcases the rugged landscape of southwest Missouri. The whole family will certainly love this forest as it offers various activities like hiking, trail riding, bird watching, or simply falling in love with the wondrous sights that nature has to offer you. Inspiration Tower. This is the place to go when you want to see everything that Branson wants you to see. The Inspiration Tower at Shepherd of the Hills gives you an inspiring 360 degree view of the Ozarks – a magical sight to behold. After all, this is the second highest point in all of Missouri, so you can see all the way across the state line into Arkansas on a clear day. This tower stands 230-foot tall and has been inspiring people for many years now. During the Christmas season, the tower is decorated to be a giant Christmas tree with thousands of Christmas lights. On the ground level of the tower, there also a souvenir shop so you can purchase mementos to remember your adventure at the Inspiration Tower forever. At the top of the tower is the starting point of the Vigilante Extreme ZipRider, a ride not for the faint-hearted and for the daredevils only. The riders will be strapped in and then sent down a half mile at 50 miles per hour. If you decide to try this, make sure to catch the breathtaking view on the ride down!
