Golfing at Thousand Hills
Shopping and museums you may have in Springfield, but takes some time to visit Thousand Hills’ awarding-winning 18-hole golf course. Thousand Hills’ course was given 4-starts by Gold Digest magazine in 2009, and is definitely not to be missed. The course has three different tees to ensure that golfers of all ages and skills will enjoy themselves and challenge their skills. While teeing off at Thousand Hills you can take in the beautiful Branson scenery, and Thousand Hills has definitely taken advantage of the natural Ozark backdrop. Thousand Hills offer guests top of the line Yamaha Carts with GPS capabilities, and features the Mulligan’s Snack Bar & Grill April through November for that mid-day snack or after game drink.
Shows & Amusement Parks
Of course, no trip to Branson as a tourist is complete without taking in a classic Branson show or theme park. Silver Dollar City has six different festivals each year – World-Fest, Bluegrass & BBQ, National Kids Fest, Southern Gospel Picnic, National Harvest Festival, and An Old Time Christmas. With so many different festivals and things to take in at SDC, that every time you go it can be a different experience. You can spend an entire day at SDC, or a couple of hours but it will definitely be time well spent. There are many different shows to take in while in Branson, and you could probably visit Branson several times a month for a year and never see all of the shows that Branson has to offer. Not only that, but with all of the different shows the variety is great. You could come down this weekend and see the Amazing Acrobats of China, and see the Baldknobbers next weekend giving yourself a completely different experience every time you visit Branson.
The Tracks
Maybe a calm day at the golf course or entertaining show is not your thing, and you are looking for a little more exciting option, then the Branson Tracks are the way to go. The Tracks has eight different go-kart tracks at four different locations so every time you visit a Track you can get a different experience. The Tracks offer the Heavy Metal High Rise for those more experienced drivers and a rookie go-kart track for that future Nascar driver. The Tracks also have bumper cars, laser tag, a Skycoaster, mini golf, and arcades for those in the family who are not all about the need for speed.
