Fans of the famous “Fab Four” don’t have to look far to enjoy their favorite Beatles tunes anymore. While the vinyl records might be obsolete, the Beatles still live on in the hearts of fans, and also live on in Branson, Missouri. The Liverpool Legends show has brought together some of the most talented men to re-create the legendary band.
Louise Harrison began the Liverpool Legends journey. Sister of the late George Harrison, she personally selected each of the show’s cast members to create a tribute band that has been said to surpass any other onstage anywhere. Liverpool Legends has been headlining their own show in Branson since 2006. Since then, they have won numerous awards, including Best New Show, Best Band, and Best Show. Liverpool Legends also received national attention when they “recreated The Beatles’ famed 1966 concert at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. They were even nominated for a Grammy in 2012.
The show features the classic favorite Beatles tunes, like “All You Need Is Love” and “Hey Jude.” Some of the Beatles’ solo work is also performed in the show. Every musical detail, costume, and vintage instrument has been carefully considered so that you get to experience the best Beatles concert you’ve ever seen from a tribute band.
Liverpool Legends is also part of an effort to keep music alive and well in the hearts of everyone, especially children. Louise Harrison has launched a program that gets the men of Liverpool Legends into schools to perform with bands, orchestras, and choirs. Schools pay nothing to have Liverpool Legends perform with them, and a portion of the proceeds will be given to the participating school to help the music department.
This talented group of men perform shows all around the world. Performances have included Carnegie Hall, and The Cavern Club in Liverpool, England. Liverpool Legends also got a chance to record at Abbey Road Studios in London. In Branson, Liverpool Legends perform from June to August at Andy Williams Moon River Theatre.
