Branson, Missouri, is well known for its shows.  The Entertainers

“We don’t just entertain…we inspire!” That is the goal that Jim Barber and Dave and Denise Hamner strive to achieve with every show. According to most folks who have attended the variety show, they hit the mark every time! Dave and Denise Hamner are both internationally known magicians; before coming to Branson, they performed at locations such as Disneyland, Hollywood’s ‘Magic Castle’ and in Las Vegas. They have received multiple prestigious magic awards from several magician associations, and they have also been honored with Branson’s ‘Featured Performance’ award in the Branson All American Entertainment Awards Ceremony. Dave and Denise have also appeared on many popular television networks, such as NBC, performing their feats of magic. The Hamners are best known for their unique, one of a kind magic act that features several beautiful Cockatoos and Macaws appearing out of thin air amidst flaming swords, falling jewels and flying cards. The birds make an incredible sweeping flight over the audience before coming in for a landing back on the stage with their two very talented handlers. Dave is also an ordained pastor – he provides outreach assistance to the local community through his Branson Gospel Sunday Service.

Jim Barber is classified as one of the world’s best ventriloquists. His Branson career began as a part of the Glen Campbell’s Good Time Show – Jim was one of the stage comedians. He went on to perform with many other popular Branson theater venues before co-owning the Hamner Barber Variety Show. Jim has performed at dozens of national corporate events and has also performed around the world entertaining U.S. soldiers. Not only is Jim a top notch ventriloquist, he is also the co-owner of Image Works Inc., a multimedia company that has created projects for the likes of Silver Dollar City, Pierce Arrow and Big Cedar Lodge. When he is not performing, Jim is very active within the Branson Community.

The Show

The Hamner Barber Variety Show appears to folks of all ages – time-proven routines really draw the crowd into the show. The Hamners, of course, perform their magic Macaw act, as well as many other feats of magic. Jim Barber entertains the crowd with his ventriloquism skills and also brings the house down with his amazing singing voice. The finale of the show is a magical, multimedia tribute to Veterans all across America – it has been described as THE best Veteran tribute anywhere.
