December in Branson – America’s Classic Christmas Celebration

The Shepherd of the Hills Trail of Lights is a beautiful display of music, color and lights situated on the 160-acre Shepherd of the Hills Homestead. As you wend your way through the trail you will encounter various scenes that bring the magic of the holidays to life.
From there you can drive to “An Old Time Christmas” at the Silver Dollar City which is a spectacular show, combining a radiant Christmas lights display, a Christmas parade and different theatrical events of the season, such as Frosty the Snowman or a Living Nativity, as well as the various rides and attractions that are open year-round.
Lastly, you’ll want to visit the Titanic Museum Attraction. A two story replica of the famous ship is permanently docked and open as a museum and visitors are free to roam its many displays. During December however there is a little extra magic because the entire ship is decorated in the holiday spirit. Best of all, Santa and two of his reindeer are onboard for visitors to meet! It’s a also a great place to get some Christmas shopping done since the gift-shop is open and offers a wide variety of Titanic themed merchandise.
If you’re visiting after Christmas, never fear, there is still plenty to do in Branson. One of the most magical (literally) activities for visitors is the Kirby Van Burch Magical New Year’s Eve Show, which includes not just the largest magic show in the world, but also dinner, favors, party hats and a balloon drop to ring in the new year.
