New! Mount Pleasant Winery is part of the Branson Platinum Experience, a Thousand Hills Exclusive!
There are a number of attractions in Branson that are off the beaten path and are far from being the music and shows on the Strip. One of those attractions is Mount Pleasant Winery.
Founded in 1859, Mount Pleasant opened its original winery location in the Augusta Appellation. Augusta was the first government appointed wine growing district in the United States, and Mount Pleasant is still going strong.
The Branson location opened in April 2008, and features wine tasting and winery tours daily. If you are interested in tasting some of the winery’s Estate wines, a $5 tasting fee will be charged. Mount Pleasant also offers Wine 101 classes, in which you learn about the intricacies of wine tasting and how to pair wines with food, along with a souvenir wine glass. Classes are $15 per person and offered on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. and Saturdays at 11 a.m.
You can also take home your own unique souvenir from Mount Pleasant. You can bottle your own dessert wine from a 600 gallon French Oak barrel. Sign and date the bottle and you have a one-of-a-kind gift for a loved one or a fun souvenir for yourself.
