In 1933, the excursion tour of the Branson Scene Railway was started and became a regular tour daily that used commercial railway for trains on tour. The routes of the train are determined before each departure that either go north or south. The northern route travels as far as Galena, Missouri while the southern route goes as far as Arkansas. The train narrator relates a story about the communities and describes the history of the railway as the train continues its journey.
Today, the train journey takes the tour excursionists 3 to 4 times daily round trip to the Ozark Mountains, passing mountainous spots inaccessible to cars. The wonderful restoration of the train cars to its present glory gives tourists a chance to travel first class in an old-fashioned train travel. Each round trip tour takes 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete the train excursion tour.
